[Today we get an update on Daniela. She is four months old. When Steph shows the picture to Maria:]
Maria: Where is she? In an egg?

Wishbone

[Dan and Maria break a wishbone. Maria gets the bigger half. A couple moments later, she asks:]
Maria: Momma, am I gonna be a princess?

Not For The Squirrel

[Dan and Maria are walking through the park at dusk, and spot an owl high in a tree]
Maria: What's it doing?
Dad: It's looking for mice to swoop down and eat.
Maria: That's not good.
Dad: It's good for the owl.
Maria: Not for the squirrel.

[Maria made cookies at day care earlier, and now Dad is driving home]
Dad: I bet those tasted good. I wish I had one.
Maria: Let's talk about that. Let's talk about that later.

[our car just got flipped off]
Maria: Why is that guy saying we're #1?

[Maria wakes up in the morning]
Dad: I know what you're going to say!
Maria: [laughs] ppbbfffff!
Maria: Dad, you going to work?
Dad: Yeah
Maria: Go now!

Pooping in Water

Maria: Momma, I'm ready to start pooping in water now.
Mom: Oh, you mean the toilet?
Maria: Yeah

Dad: Do you want to move to a seascape city?
Maria: Yeah, after my nap.

Pretty Pedals

[Sitting at the kitchen table]
Maria: Dad, can you move this plant?
Dad: No, let's leave it there - it's going to get pretty petals on it.
